Privacy

Joining the Nerd Out waitlist shares a few details with us. Here’s what they are and how to take them back.

What we save

  • Your email address.
  • The box you picked, or that you’d like to make one.
  • That you said you’re in the US, if you picked a box.
  • The campaign tag on the link that brought you here, if it had one.
  • When you signed up and which version of this notice you saw.

We don’t ask for your name, address or payment details. To stop spam we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address for about an hour; it is never stored with your signup.

How we use it

  • To email you launch news about Nerd Out.
  • To invite some people to a short research call about the boxes and price.
  • To count which box people want first.

If you told us you’d like to make a box, we only email you about that. We don’t sell your email or share it for advertising. The list is stored with our database provider, Supabase, in the US, and the site runs on Vercel.

Leaving the list

Email hello@nerdout.app from the address you signed up with and we’ll remove you. Write to the same address to change your box or fix a typo. After a removal we keep only enough to make sure you aren’t added again. We review the list every three months and delete entries we haven’t needed for a year.
